Originally, the spelling quiz was posted for Thursday, March 9.  It is now moved to March 13 because March 9 is Career Day and March 10 is the Choir field trip which many students are attending.

We are wrapping up the research-based information writing.

The following must be completed (if not done) for homework.  On Tuesday, editing and final draft will be the focus.  So, the writing must be complete for Tuesday class.

Writing Assignment:

First Paragraph:  Explain teen activism
Second Paragraph:  Short profile of Choice #1
Third Paragraph: Short profile of Choice #2
Fourth+  Paragraph:  Comparison (similarities and differences)
Fake Bibliograph (list):  Example = Jon Stewart Interview
                             Article Title(s)


Questions for Profile:
  • What is especially significant or compelling about the person?  What is his or her legacy or contribution?  (Explain it.)

  • What is surprising about the person? Any oddities?

  • What story, anecdote, scene captures the person?
