Our writing focus is research based information writing.  You are learning to be a journalist who takes intense and continuous notes in order to become an expert on the given subject.

Along with your Wordly Wise homework,  please complete the "Starter Text Set" which is the blue half sheet that you received in class today.

You are required to read and take notes on:
1) 1 passage on teenage activism
2) 1 passage on Alex Lin OR (not and) Malala

Complete this reading and note taking as homework.  If you do not have access to the internet after school, then please come during lunch for the use of the chromebook and make further arrangements with Mrs. Lee.
